letters from Cayden and wonders if there will be anything in
the letters that will help find her killer. |

|
When Szymon hears that Cayden's apartment was broken into, he
and his partner, Cecilia Nakamura go to Cayden's house to check
it out. As Cecilia realizes that the person who broke into Cayden's
place wasn't after his valuables, she and Szymon inquire as to
what the person may have been looking for. When Cayden tells
them he doesn't know, Szymon wonders if he's telling the truth.
When it appears that Cayden
is about to fall, Szymon catches him and asks him if he is okay.
Cecilia teases Szymon and tells him that he wanted Cayden to
fall into his arms and Szymon gets embarrassed. |

1x04: "The Warning" |
After Cayden's cat is killed, he calls Szymon and when Szymon
shows up, he asks Cayden what he's hiding. A defensive Cayden
says that he is not hiding anything, but Szymon has a feeling
that Cayden isn't telling the truth. Choosing not to press the
issue further, Szymon asks Cayden how he's doing and if he would
like Szymon to stay the night in order to watch and protect him.
Cayden says he's fine, but that Elijah Montessori will be staying
the night with him. A saddened Szymon leaves Cayden's and catches
a glimpse of Kathryn Hayes spying on Cayden's apartment. |

Szymon runs into Cayden at Club Rain, where Szymon and Cecilia
are hanging out. After an awkward conversation by the urinals,
Szymon hits a drunk man that attacks Cayden. Szymong later drinks
from the same drugged beer that was given to Cayden and the two
part ways, but later Szymon finds a drugged Cayden with Dominick
Perrotti and takes him home where Szymon spends the night. When
they wake up, they find that they are both naked. |

While at a crime scene, Szymon sees Cayden and the two have an
awkward conversation about their encounter. Later, Szymon asks
Cecilia what she think about Cayden and she warns him to stay

Szymon agrees to meet Cayden at the Pizza Shop and warns him
to stop asking questions about Julia Taylor. When he realizes
that Cayden won't listen, he tells him some very interesting

was pregnant and he tells him that she was not pregnant when
she died because she had already had an abortion. |

|
Szymon runs into Cayden and Gage on their way to the hospital
and joins them. There to visit his sick mother, Szymon seems
more interested in Cayden than anything else. When Cayden goes
off to visit Jesse, Gage approached Szymon and tells him to be
careful. When Szymon asks him what he's talking about, Gage tells
Szymon that he can see the way he looks at Cayden and warns him
not to play with Cayden's emotions because Cayden is special.
After visiting his mother,
Szymon heads to Jesse's room to question him about the suicide
attempt. He accuses Jesse of attempting suicide because he was
guilty for murdering Julia. When everyone gets angry at Szymon,
he brushes it off, but when Cayden shows him a look of disappointment
and disdain, Szymon is crushed and leaves the hospital room silently. |

1x10: "Everybody Makes Mistakes" |
Szymon shows up at Cayden's Thanksgiving party and asks to speak
with Cayden. He apologizes to Cayden for what happened in the
hospital and admits that he's confused by his feelings for Cayden.
When Cayden asks him why, Szymon kisses him. However, Elijah
enters the room and tells Cayden that he would like to sleep
on the right side of the bed tonight. Szymon gets the wrong impression.
Embarrassed, he excuses himself and leaves the apartment. |

1x11: "The Perfect Sky" |
|
It is two weeks after Thanksgiving, and as the day begins everyone
is helping Mason move into his new apartment, the apartment in
which a neighbor of Cayden's committed suicide. When everyone
begins to get tired of cleaning the new apartment, they decide
to take a break. Cayden, Devon, Gage, Jesse, and Kathryn head
to the corner store to pick up some snacks. While they are there,
Szymon enters the store and speaks to Cayden privately, or so
they think
When Szymon tells Cayden that
they are officially labeling Julia's murder as a cold case, Devon
reacts strongly. When everyone finds out what Szymon told Cayden,
Cayden realizes that it would be best for Szymon to leave, and
he does so.
As everyone decides to pay
for their snacks and leave, a man with a gun enters the corner
store and tells the cashier to hand over the money. When the
cashier pulls out a shotgun, things go from bad to worse. The
cashier is shot and killed and another customer who tries to
flee is shot as well.
Outside, Szymon hears the gunshots
and orders the store robber to come out, but the man doesn't
comply. He holds Cayden, Devon, Gage, Jesse and Kathryn hostage,
threatening to kill them.
When Jesse sees an opportunity
to tackle the gunman, he takes it, but is overpowered by the
other man. In the struggle to get free, Gage is shot. When Cayden
sees that, he tries to flee but is held by the gunman. In an
effort to get out of the store, the gunman holds a gun to Cayden's
head and threatens to shoot him. Szymon sees that and loses it.
When Szymon doesn't back off, the gunman shoots Cayden on the
arm.
Szymons tells Cecilia Nakamura
that he doesn't know what he'd do if Cayden was hurt and that
if that man kills Cayden he's going to kill him.
When Cayden realizes that he
has to get out of the store before he is killed. He tries to
flee but if caught by the gunman and is thrown into the center
of a standoff with the gunman and the police. With quick thinking,
Cayden is able to briefly incapacitate the gunman, allowing Szymon
a clear shot, which he takes. |

When Szymon returns home after running errands, he finds Cayden
King standing outside of his home. A flustered Szymon asks Cayden
what he's doing there and Cayden informs him that he just came
from Szymon's place, where he met Szymon's son, Sammy and Szymon's
wife Andrea. |

from Cecilia Nakamura when she tells him that he just needs to

|
It's Christmas Eve, and Szymon decides that he's going to explain
everything to Cayden. Standing outside of Cayden's door, he starts
talking to himself as he tries to figure out what to say, causing
Mrs. Mulberry to come out into the hall and tell him to knock
on the door and go inside already because he's driving her crazy.
When Szymon works up the courage
to knock on Cayden's door, he is surprised to find a very naked
Dominick Perrotti answer. When Szymon sees Cayden naked and wrapped
in a bed sheet, he apologizes and excuses himself. |

1x15: "When the Madness Stops, Part II" |
Szymon is at home watching his son, Sammy, open his christmas
gifts. Andrea Darling approaches him and tells him that he should
tell Cayden the truth about everyone. Their marriage is a marriage
of convenience. Andrea is his best friend and he married her
so that she could be on his health insurance plan when she was
sick and needed an operation. We also discover the truth about
Sammy's conception. Szymon was a sperm donor and the two did
not conceive him during sexual intercourse. When Andrea hands
him divorce papers, she tells him that she's giving him back
his life and that he should take advantage of it and go after
what he really wants. |

1x16: "Brand New Day" |
|
Szymon Skubisz finds himself finally coming to a decision, he
wants to be with Cayden King. As he rushes to catch a subway
train, he finds himself presented with all kinds of obstacles
and, ultimately, misses the train.
Frustrated, he sits on a bench
and sulks. When Mrs. Mulberry approaches him, she asks him what's
wrong. Szymon tells her that it seems as if he's been missing
every train - and every opportunity lately. He wonders if it's
a sign that he and Cayden shouldn't be together. Mrs. Mulberry
tells him that there are other trains and, that if he is patient,
he can catch the next one and be exactly where he needs to be.
As the countdown to midnight
begins, Szymon rushes to Cayden's apartment and knocks on the
door. When Cayden opens it, Szymon Skubisz grabs him and kisses
him in front of everyone. When he pulls away, he tells Cayden
that he didn't want to start the new year without any regrets. |

1x17: "Tempted" |
|
At lunch, Cayden tells Szymon that Elijah is moving in. Szymon
admits that he is jealous of Elijah and Cayden tells Szymon that
he's jealous of Andrea. Szymon tells Cayden the entire story
about how he and Andrea are best friends and he donated sperm
so that she could get preganant. He tells Cayden that they only
got married because Andrea was sick and needed an operation,
but didn't have proper medical insurance.
When Cayden hears the truth,
he is relieved and Szymon confesses that he would like to kiss
Cayden, but when Cayden moves in for the kiss, Szymon pulls back.
Szymon tells Cayden that he doesn't want to kiss in public because
he isn't out of the closet yet, but he invited Cayden to the
bathroom of the restaurant so that they could make out in private.
Deciding that he would rather
not hide the fact that he is gay, Cayden declines and leaves
the restaurant.
When Szymon returns home, he
grabs the divorce papers that Andrea gave him and contemplates
signing them. He weighs the options and what signing the papers
would really mean for his son, Sammy. After much deliberation,
Szymon Skubisz signs the papers. |

1x18: "Dear Diary" |
|
It is the night of Jesse's big art show and Szymon is running
a bit late. When Szymon finally shows up, he professes his devotion
to Cayden and tells him that he wants to be with him. Szymon
then kisses Cayden in front of everyone.
When the host of the evening
announces that it is time to reveal Jesse's final painting, things
go badly when Jesse unveils a portrait of Julia that has been
vandalized. Jesse tears out of the show, screaming.
Later, When Szymon admits that
he feel like a failure for being unable to catch Julia's killer,
Cayden admits that he kept Julia's diary. Szymon comes down on
Cayden pretty hard over keeping the diary, but apologizes and
warns Cayden that if people know that he has Julia's diary, his
life could be in danger again. They decide to go to Cayden's
apartment to retrieve the diary.
When they show up, they find
Elijah having sex in Cayden's bed, but even more shocking, Cayden
realizes that the diary is missing and comes to the conclusion
that someone stole Julia Taylor's diary from his apartment. |

1x19: "The Boy Can't Help It" |
|
Cayden meets up with Szymon and Sammy in the park and Szymon
tells Cayden that he's happy that Sammy feels comfortable with
him because he usually has a hard time meeting new people. As
the two playfully flirt, Sammy falls and breaks his arm.
At the hospital, Cayden is
happy to find out that Sammy will be fine. Szymon is equally
relieved and kisses Cayden. When Szymon pulls away, he locks
eyes with a police officer and quickly walks off, leaving Cayden
standing there by himself. |

1x20: "Truly, Madly, Deeply" |
|
It's Valentine's Day and at the police station, word has spread
that Szymon is gay. Several of the other police officers taunt
him about his sexuality when Cecilia Nakamura steps in to defend
him. Szymon admits in front of everyone that he is, in fact,
gay and tells them that if anyone has a problem with it, he'll
kick their asses.
When Szymon finally shows up
at Cayden's, he tells Cayden that he is completely out of the
closet. He tells Cayden that they can go out and hold hands and
kiss one another in public, but Cayden opts to stay in and the
two make love. Afterwards, Szymon gives Cayden his ring. The
ring is too big for Cayden's finger, but he keeps it anyway. |

1x21: "Goodbye, Part I" |
|
When Cecilia Nakamura and Szymon Skubisz arrive to pick up the
bag of evidence left by Julia's killer, they are shocked that
everyone rifled through the bag. As Cecilia goes through the
evidence, she notes that someone took photographs of Julia inside
of her apartment from the fire escape. Cecilia finds a picture
in the bag that is different from the rest. Cayden is present
in the photograph, which means that it was taken after Julia
died, and furthermore, Jesse Martinez is cut out of the picture.
Cayden admits that he took the picture at Christmas and made
a copy for all of his friends.
Back at the police station,
Cecilia and Szymon pore over the evidence and Szymon has a thought
about one of the pictures. He calls Cayden and tells him to gather
everyone and make them go get their copy of the photograph. Cayden
quickly realizes that whoever doesn't have their copy of the
picture is the killer.
Cecilia makes a startling discovery.
The only other print on one of the pictures - aside from the
prints that compromised the evidence - was Devon's. |

1x22: "Goodbye, Part II" |
|
In the basement of the apartment building, Cayden searches for
the breaker switch in the darkness. As he is searching, Devon
James appears and Cayden notices that she is acting a little
strange. Devon admits to finding Mason dead in Cayden's apartment,
and Cayden realizes that she is holding a bloody knife. Cayden
begins to fear for his life and realizes that Devon is the killer,
but Szymon Skubisz shows up in time to protect Cayden. He points
his gun at Devon and demands that she surrender.
When Gage Matthews arrives
in the basement, he is shocked to find Szymon weilding a gun
on Devon as Cayden stands by and watches. Gage shields Devon
from Szymon's gun and the four invidiuals find themselves in
a standoff. Cayden accuses Devon of killing Mason and Gage denies
that she had anything to do with it. Devon continues to try to
get Cayden to listen to her words. Gage is ultimately successful
in retrieving the knife from Devon, but Devon pushes forward
and reaches into her jacket for something.
Szymon is poised to shoot,
but Cayden stops him by telling everyone that Devon is pregnant.
When Devon pulls out a piece of paper and hands it to Cayden,
he is confused at first until he realizes that it is the picture
he gave her. She still had it. Devon collapses to the ground
and everyone realizes that she has been stabbed in the back.
When Cecilia Nakamura arrives
at Cayden's apartment, Kathryn uses her quick thinking to tell
Cecilia that Devon is on rampage murdering people and that she
escaped through the fire espace. When Cecilia goes out there
to find Devon, Kathryn grabs her gun and pushes her from the
eighth story.
Szymon and Cayden arrive just
in time to watch Cecilia being pushed off of the fire escape.
They share tense words and Kathryn fires her gun on Cayden, causing
him to stumble into the hall. Szymon rushes to his side and Kathryn
slams the door shut.
Szymon kicks the door to Cayden's
apartment down and finds Jesse standing there, holding the gun
to his head. With the help of Cayden, Gage and Devon, Szymon
is successful in getting Jesse to drop the gun. A defeated Jesse
falls to the floor, a sobbing mess.
Szymon tells Cecilia that she
will be alright as she is taken away in an ambulance. He then
discusses Elijah's condition with Cayden. It seems that there
was extensive damage to Elijah's head and they hope that he will
be okay. |
