2x13: "No One"

At the hospital, Szymon, Andrea and Cecilia listen to Dr. Flores' advice that they should have Sammy undergo chemotherapy. Andrea is scared by this news and lashes out at Szymon, blaming him for giving their son leukemia and Cecilia because she always takes his side in an argument. Szymon tells Dr. Flores to go through with the treatment and tells Cecilia that she needs to get Andrea to get it together for Sammy's sake.

2x14: "Forget You"

When Sammy's treatments begin to fail, Dr. Flores informs them that there is still one last option, a stem cell transplant. She will start with Sammy's parents, then broaden the search if they are not matches.

Andrea is crushed when she finds out that she is not a match for Sammy. Dr. Flores brings in a therapist named Tom Waterman to help and at first, Cecilia is hesitant to let him, but she understands that Andrea could use another shoulder to cry on.

When Szymon discovers that he is not a match for Sammy's bone marrow, he realizes that because he was adopted, there is no one else to test on his side and starts to think that his son is running out of time. He also rejects any help from Tom Waterman, whom he sees as useless. He admits his resentment of Dr. Flores only because the fact that she is in his life is because his son has cancer.

2x17: "Give Me One Reason"

Jesse visits Devon’s room where he learns that she was checked into the hospital after the Braxton Hicks episode because of high blood pressure. She tells him that it is finally over between her and Gage and Jesse tells her not to give up on love. Meanwhile, Ryan Clarke finds Sebastian Vaughn eavesdropping outside of Devon’s hospital room and privately accused him of stalking Jesse. Sebastian warns her to stop prying into his personal affairs. Dr. Flores informs Jesse that they have harvested enough stem cells for the procedure and if all goes well, Sammy should be fine. Jesse uses this as an opportunity to show Devon that she should never give up hope.
