   Season Two

2x10: "Strangers"

On a train from Albany, headed to Manhattan, Dorthea sits beside a woman that thinks she is better than her and Dorthea and is none to pleased. Her conversation with Gloria quickly becomes hostile.

When a young boy sits with the two women, Gloria is completely unaware that he has stolen her wallet. When her bickering with Dorthea reaches a fevered pitch, an old friend by the name of Cassandra steps in and asks Gloria to the dining car. Dorthea, who was vigilant enough to know that the young boy (Izik Morin) stole Gloria's wallet, tells him that theft is not the way to go. When Gloria discovers that her wallingis missing, she returns to blame Izik, who flees.

Later, Gloria and Dorthea show up at the apartment building on the same elevator bound for the same floor. Their arguing is heard by those in the hall and when they step off of the elevator, they see their children, Gage and Devon and realize that they share more than just a train ride from Albany.

2x11: "Family Portrait"

Devon and Gage are surprised to find their mothers are at war with one another. They sit holding hands with shocked looks on their faces. Dorthea admits to Devon that she had to hear about her daughter’s pregnancy for Johanna Leonard instead of from her own daughter. Gloria uses this as a change to show her son that he’s made yet another bad choice. Gloria informs Devon that Gage made yet another request for a large amount of money and accuses Gage of being on drugs or gambling again.

While their chidren are talking in the bedroom, in the living room, Gloria puts aside her differences and makes Dorthea an offer: work together to put and end to Devon and Gage’s relationship.

2x12: "Wait"

In the living room, while Devon and Gage are arguing in the bedroom, Gloria and Dorthea are pleased with the rift growing between their children.

2x13: "No One"

While at lunch, Dorthea grills Gage about his intentions with her daughter and tells him that he has no ambition or drive to want to be better or provide a better life for his family. Gage tells her that they don't need her permission to be together and that she should just honor her daughter's wishes.

Gloria offers Devon money to leave Gage and Devon declines, offended by the very thought of it. When Gage and Dorthea get back, Devon tells Gage what his mother attempted to do and Gage asks his mother to leave. She does. Devon then tells her mother that she chooses Gage and asked her to leave as well. Devon and Gage decide to make a go of it.

2x19: "Soul Deceiver"

Dorthea offers Devon a solution to her problems, move to Georgia with her and raise the baby there. Upset with Gage's choices, Devon decides to take her mother up on her offer.
