2x01: "Hello, Part I"

While getting ready for Jesse's Welcome Home party, Cayden and Devon get into an argument about their friendship, or lack thereof. The two have no idea that Jesse has shown up right in the middle of their argument. When Jesse tells everyone that he's seen Julia Taylor, they begin to think that maybe he is still crazy, but they are surprised when Jesse's grandmother, Liliana shows up and asks them all to leave and forbids them to ever have contact with Jesse again.

After leaving Jesse's, the group moves downstairs where Cayden and Devon's argument reaches boiling point. As they are arguing, Jesse rushes off of the elevator and tells everyone that he saw Julia again. They try to make his realize that Julia is dead, but then the elevator doors open and Julia Taylor steps off, surprising them all.

2x02: "Hello, Part II"

Everyone is shock when a woman who looks exactly like Julia Taylor steps off of the elevator. She introduces herself as Ryan Clarke. As Cayden watches, Jesse grabs her and gives her a hug. Ryan tries to get him off of her and is unsuccessful until her boyfriend Steven Harris arrives and pulls them apart. He threatens to hit Jesse but Cayden steps in and tries to defuse the situation with Mrs. Mulberry's help. Devon, in the meantime, discovers that the woman is telling the truth. She is not Julia Taylor. Everyone leaves after Jesse is taken back to his apartment by Gage and Elijah and Cayden is left alone to awkwardly welcome Ryan and Steven to the building.

Later, Jesse spies outside of Ryan's window and discovers that her relationship with Steven Harris isn't exactly a healthy one when he watches Steven physically threaten her then have sex with her.

2x03: "Secrets"

When Jesse climbs back into his apartment from the fire escape, he gets into an argument with his grandmother over his mental state and the fact that his mother is also in a mental institution. Liliana tries to get him to understand that his mother loved him, but Jesse just believes that she hates him. When Jesse tries to get the truth about his mother's condition, Liliana clams up, causing Jesse to leave.

Jesse finds Ryan Clarke in the corridor and contronts her about her presence in the building. He believes that Julia Taylor is trying to send him a message and she is using Ryan to do it. When pressed for information, Ryan flees, leaving Jesse all alone.

Later, as he is going through Julia's pictures, Jesse finds a picture of two young girls with writing on the back that says Jamie and Julia. He believes Jamie to be Julia's sister.

2x04: "What Might Have Been"

In this special episode, we get to see what life would have been like had Cayden King not moved into the building. Jesse Martinez does his best to deal with Julia Taylor's murder, but finally reaches a breaking point. He attempts suicide and is successful.

2x05: "Call Me"

Jesse calls Szymon and enlists his help in finding out who Jamie Taylor is. Szymon agrees against his better judgement.

Liliana tells Jesse that he needs to get over Julia Taylor. When Jesse puts up resistance, she informs him that while he was in rehab, she petitioned the court to become his legal custodian and won. When Jesse learns this, he becomes upset and leaves.

While playing his guitar in his apartment, Sebastian answers the door to find Jesse Martinez. He plays a song for Jesse, which seemingly moves Jesse emotionally and he gets up and leaves.

2x06: "Free"

The group decides to go to Xstatic, a gay nightclub to celebrate Cayden's new job and Elijah not getting fired. As Jesse gets ready to go out to Xstatic to join his friends, his grandmother attempts to stop him. The two get into a verbal sparring match that leaves Liliana feeling disrespected.

When Jesse leaves, Liliana placed a cryptic phone call. Steven Harris expressed his disgust at the Xstatic nightclub and demands that Ryan leave with him immediately. He pressures her until she finally relents. Before he leaves, Steven heads to the bathroom. Jesse Martinez, who had been sitting by the entire time asks Ryan if she is happy in her relationship and if she wants it to end. Ryan reluctantly admits that she does want it to end and Jesse follows Steven into the bathroom. While in the bathroom, Steven is surprised when Jesse arrives and warns him to leave Ryan alone. Jesse tells him that if he wants to hit someone, then he should stop hitting women and hit a man. When Steven puts up a fight, Jesse punches him and knocks him to the ground and warns him to stay away from Ryan. Jesse leaves the bathroom.

Jesse later pulls Steven off of Vasilios, a male stripper and hold him at bay. Devon and Gage burst out of an adjacent room because of the ruckus and Devon goes to help Vasilios, who is lying on the ground bleeding. When Szymon arrives, Steven says that Vasilios sexually assaulted him, but Ryan finally finds the strength to stand up to him and she tells Szymon that Steven beat Vasilios without provocation. An angry Steven denies the claim. Devon tells Steven that she hopes he rots in jail for what he did and Steven accuses her of murder. When Cayden and Elijah arrive, Steven points to the three of them and tells everyone that he saw them carrying a body in a rug to the incinerator of their building.

2x07: "It's Too Late"

After returning home from the nightclub, Szymon questions Cayden, Devon and Elijah about Steven's claim. The three of them remain quiet and choose not to offer any information. When Joseph Lester arrives, he informs Szymon that they are ready to search the incinerator.

When Ryan realizes that she's going to be all alone, She finds that Jesse is there to help her once again.

When Jesse arrives at his apartment with Ryan Clarke, Liliana Martinez becomes upset and tells Jesse that it is not a good idea for him to be around Ryan. When their argument gets heated, Liliana excuses herself so that she can take a walk and calm down.

Jesse and Ryan watch television and when Ryan finishes Jesse's sentence, he marvels at how Julia used to do that. When Jesse apologizes, Ryan explains that it's okay. She knows that she resembles his former girlfriend.

When Jesse finds Szymon in the hallway, he is surprised when Szymon gives him an envelope that contains all of the information that he was able to find about Ryan Clarke. Szymon was not able to find any information on Jamie Taylor.

2x08: "Last Night"

When Jesse returns home to find that Ryan Clarke is gone, he blames his grandmother for driving her away. As the argument between him and his grandmother reaches a fevered pitch, Liliana makes a startled admission that leaves Jesse stunned. The reason his mother is mentally ill is because she was raped and she killed the man who did it and that man was Jesse's father. She could not deal with that trauma and went insane. Liliana informs him that he looks exactly like his father.

The next morning, Liliana springs a surprise on Jesse. She has called a psychiatrist to come evaluate her grandson so that she can continue to be his legal guardian in the event that he is not fit to take care of himself. The man, Adam Price, sits down with Jesse to evaluate him.

2x09: "Together"

As Jesse sits at home trying to find a clue in Ryan's past that links her to Julia, he is disturbed by the fact that Ryan doesn't seem to have a connections to Julia Taylor. When Liliana Martinez interrupts him and reminds him that it is his mother's birthday, the two decide to go out for lunch to celebrate.

As they are nearing the diner, Jesse hears music that seemingly entrances him. He heads for the sound and finds that it is Sebastian Vaughn playing his guitar on the street. Jesse notes that he's heard the song Sebastian is playing before, but Sebastian just chalks it up to Jesse hearing him play it once before.

Liliana invites Sebastian to lunch because, in her opinion, he is way to thin. When they get to the diner they find, rather unexpectedly that everyone ended up going there, each for different reasons.

When Devon announces that she and Gage are having a baby boy and naming him Taylor, after Julia Taylor, everyone drinks to a toast. They marvel at how they've managed to stay together despite all of the obstacles they've faced and they welcome anyone to try and break their little family apart.

2x10: "Strangers"

Sebastian has accepted and offer from Jesse Martinez to pose for a portrait wearing nothing but a guitar. Jesse is seeking to capture the beauty of Sebastian and his guitar, hoping to translate the beautiful music that he makes into a visually stunning work of art. During the past three months, the two have created a strong friendship and are now best friends. As they sit, they discuss a situation that occurred a week beforehand in which Sebastian admitted to Jesse that he was in love with him.

Trying to make sense of what is going on, Jesse presses the issue and infuriates Sebastian by telling him that he is not gay. Sebastian also admits to not being gay, but to the fact that he is in love with only one man - Jesse - and not attracted to any other men. When Sarah Mulberry arrives, the conversation is curtailed and Sebastian slinks away with embarrassment.

Jesse admits to Sarah that he doesn't know what to make of what Sebastian admitted to him, but Sarah gets him to stop thinking about it long enough to go with her to Victoria's party.

2x11: "Family Portrait"

Sarah finds herself at Jesse’s apartment. She vents her frustrations about her mother and asks him for his advice. Jesse listens sympathetically and urges her to talk to her mother honestly. Sarah considers his advice and makes a decision to help Jesse. She gives him the letter she found for Julia Taylor. Jesse is intrigued by the letter, but a knock at the door interrupts them. Sebastian enters. Sarah takes this as her cue to leave. Sebastian is prepared to apologize when Jesse tells him that he can’t seem to paint a single thing if Sebastian is not there and pleads with his friend to stay.

2x12: "Wait"

In his apartment, Jesse is contemplating whether or not he should follow up on the letter that Sarah gave him from the mental institution in Connecticut. He wonders whether pursuing the letter from Wellington Hills will take him in the wrong direction, or if he should instead take a trip to Massachusetts where Julia grew up. Sebastian convinces Jesse that following a letter from a psychiatric institute could prove futile, and instead he should go to Palmer where he has more of a chance to get information, be he wants to come along.

Ryan calls Jesse and asks him to swing by the bar and pick her up. She called and found out that Steven Harris has been released. She is scared that Steven is waiting somewhere for her. Sebastian joins Jesse. Ryan looks worried and Jesse tries his best to comfort her. When Ryan goes to get her purse and coat, Sebastian asks Jesse why he runs to Ryan’s aid whenever she calls. She uses him and he allows her to do it. Jesse tells Sebastian that keeping Ryan close is the only option. He wants to find Julia’s sister Jamie and he believes that it is Ryan Clarke.

2x13: "No One"

While at a gas station, Sebastian and Ryan trade verbal jabs with one another over Jesse. Sebastian tells Ryan that he can see right through her and Ryan tells him that Jesse will never want to be with him. Jesse, however, is unaware of their quarrel.

In Palmer, MA Jesse and Sebastian hit a wall in their search when they discover that Julia and Jamie were taken by the state and lost touch with one another. Ryan tells Jesse that he lied to her about Sebastian's feelings toward him and Jesse tells him that he doesn't have feeling for Sebastian and admits that the other man tried to kiss him. An embarrassed Sebastian takes off on foot.

2x14: "Forget You"

Jesse and Ryan return from a job and have an awkward interaction with Sebastian in the lobby. Ryan returns home to find Steven Harris waiting for her, but Jesse saves Ryan from Steven. While Sebastian Vaughn runs to call for help, Ryan admits to Jesse that she is really Julia's twin sister.

Sebastian goes to the hospital and Jesse tells him about Ryan's confession. Jesse tells him that Ryan admitted to stealing a dead friend's identity after she set her trailer on fire believing that she accidentally killed her foster father who was sexually abusing her. Sebastian warns Ryan that she is the one who has no idea who she is dealing with.

2x15: "Liar"

Jesse Martinez does not appear in this episode.

2x16: "Strange Bedfellows"

Jesse and Ryan take a stroll after a movie and Jesse's awkwardness of being in a relationship shows when he teases her about their sexual relationship and she tells him that it's okay to talk about it. They had sex and she doesn't care what anyone thinks about her being a Julia Taylor replacement. Jesse admits that he's sad that Sebastian has been avoiding him. Gage is up to his old tricks again when he is caught gambling by Jesse, but pleads with Jesse not to say anything.

Jesse has an emergency session with Adam Price in which he reveals that he is not as happy as he thought he'd be with Ryan Clarke. He starts to tell Adam about Sebastian for the first time.

Jesse visits Devon in the middle of the night to tell her that he is going to try and move on and let Julia Taylor go. He realized that he really needs to move on if he wants a chance and real happiness. Devon admits that she is happy with Gage, but admits her fears that Gage could fall back into old patterns. Unwilling to spoil her happiness, Jesse remains silent about what he saw.

2x17: "Give Me One Reason"

Szymon Skubisz sits in the waiting room at the hospital as everyone gets tested to see if they are a match for Sammy’s bone marrow. Ricky Andrews tries to make conversation with him and Szymon asks him how he can still smile when he is surrounded by so much death. Ricky tells him that he chooses to be happy. Joseph Lester admits to Szymon that he actually admires him and will be sorry when Cecilia comes back on full time. He tells Szymon that he is being reassigned to another partner. Joseph and Szymon discuss the nature of evil and whether it runs in the blood. However, when Jesse shows up, Szymon flips out because he doesn’t want Jesse’s blood or bone marrow anywhere near his son. Szymon then begins to take his frustrations out on Cayden when he defends Jesse for showing up to do the right thing.

At the hospital, Cayden approaches Szymon to talk about things, but don’t seem to make much headway. Szymon accused him of spending all of this time and attention on other people. Cayden tells him that he doesn’t want to be around him when he acts like this, but they are interrupted when Jesse arrives and announces that he is a match Sammy’s bone marrow. Cecilia and Andrea arrive. A distraught Szymon tells him that he doesn’t want Jesse’s tainted blood in his son. Jesse says that he always knew Szymon was a hypocrite and that he is willing to let his son die. Szymon says he doesn’t want Jesse’s blood in his son’s body. Liliana tells him that it is too late for that, Jesse is his nephew and she is Szymon’s mother. They have the same blood running through their veins.

Liliana explains to Szymon and Jesse that she gave Szymon up for adoption. He was conceived under duress. She chose not to keep the child. Szymon is horrified and rejects the idea. He calls for a blood test. Liliana tells him that a boy’s life could be hanging in the balance and he will regret it if his stubbornness costs Sammy his life. Szymon expresses his shock at being informed that he is a child of rape. Jesse admits that he is also a child of rape. Szymon is upset that everyone in his life seems to reject him and leave him alone, but Jesse assures him that he won’t be left alone if Szymon agrees to allow him to save Sammy’s life. He will not lose his son.

Jesse visits Devon’s room where he learns that she was checked into the hospital after the Braxton Hicks episode because of high blood pressure. She tells him that it is finally over between her and Gage and Jesse tells her not to give up on love. Meanwhile, Ryan Clarke finds Sebastian Vaughn eavesdropping outside of Devon’s hospital room and privately accused him of stalking Jesse. Sebastian warns her to stop prying into his personal affairs. Dr. Flores informs Jesse that they have harvested enough stem cells for the procedure and if all goes well, Sammy should be fine. Jesse uses this as an opportunity to show Devon that she should never give up hope.

2x18: "Take A Bow"

Devon tells Gage that she is leaving to stay with her mother for a couple of weeks when Gloria tells her about the ultimatum she gave Gage. Gage pleads with her to stay and tells her that he was lying to his mother. He had no intention of actually staying away from Devon. Devon tells him that he told her he had no intention of gambling and drinking again and he did that and she can no longer trust him. She leaves him alone. As he storms out of the building, he passed right by Jesse and Ryan without giving them a second glance. Ryan is telling Jesse that his friends don’t like her and that she hopes it doesn’t have to come to the point where he has to make a choice between them. Jesse tells her that it won’t, but secretly he is worried that it will.

Jesse calls Adam and tells him that maybe he should make a clean break and give everything up for Ryan. He’s been holding onto to ghosts of the past and he could possibly create a life and a future with Ryan. Unbeknownst to him, Sebastian Vaughn in on the fire escape listening and vows to destroy Ryan Clarke before she takes Jesse away.

2x19: "Soul Deceiver"

Sarah tells Jesse that she is thinking about going back to school for photography. Jesse encourages her to do so. Jesse tells Sarah that things aren't adding up. Ryan doesn't know things about Julia. Sarah tells Jesse that she will try and get closer to Ryan for him. Serena warns Sarah that something dangerous is going to happen.

2x20: "Crazy"

Cayden finds a piece of paper with a phone number on it in Drake's pocket when he is doing the laundry. He asks Jesse what he should do. Cayden admits that he is suspicious of everything since he caught Szymon cheating on him. Jesse tells him that he should ask Drake about it. After Cayden leaves, Ryan enters the laundry room and Jesse senses tension. Ryan unexpectedly breaks up with Jesse, leaving him wondering what the hell happened.

Jesse admits his confusion about Ryan to Sebastian over beers. He tells him that Ryan has been acting strangely lately and that they have broken up. Sebastian tells Jesse that he is very sorry to hear that. Jesse tells him that it's exactly what he wanted and Sebastian tells him that he never wanted to see Jesse unhappy. Jesse gets even more confused when Sebastian kisses him again, but he doesn't freak out. He tells Sebastian that things are just too crazy right now and he needs time. Jesse is further confounded when Sebastian seems to know things he shouldn't know about Julia Taylor.
