2x01: "Hello, Part I"

Cayden and Szymon wake up in one another's arms and discuss their relationship and the fact that Szymon has moved in with him. As they are talking, they hear yelling in the hall and when Cayden goes out to see what it's all about, he meets Sebastian Vaughn. Sebastian tells Cayden that Devon James locked him out of his apartment and Cayden offers to call maintenance for him.

Later, at the police precinct, Szymon is called into the chief's office and informed that he will be getting a new partner. When he finds out that his new partner is none other that Joseph Lester (the homophobic officer he had problems with previously), he is not too pleased.

2x02: "Hello, Part II"

When Szymon comes home from work, Cayden tells him all about his crappy day. He learns that Szymon has had an equally crappy day and the two commiserate together. When Syzmon gets up to take a shower he finds Victoria King in there. Afterwards, Victoria grills Szymon to make sure that he's a suitable boyfriend for her son. In the end, she approves.

2x03: "Secrets"

After Cayden leaves Szymon and Victoria alone together, Victoria admits that she has no plans to go back to New Hampshire and is planning on staying in New York and finding a job as a legal secretary. Szymon and Victoria discuss their current living situation and Szymon's past, including his son and his ex-wife.

2x04: "What Might Have Been"

In this special episode, we get to see what life would have been like had Cayden King not moved into the building. Szymon continues to investigate the murder of Julia Taylor, but only finds circumstantial evidence. He returns to the building when Gage Matthews is found dead, apparently the victim of an overdose. Later, Szymon is shocked to discover that Jesse Martines committed suicide. Szymon has a brief encounter on the street with a young man named Cayden, but the two never meet again. Finally, when Szymon is called to the building again, he finds the very same young man he met on the street. He learns that his name is Cayden King and realizes that Cayden was either pushed or jumped to his death from the ill-fated building.

2x05: "Call Me"

Jesse calls Szymon and enlists his help in finding out to Jamie Taylor is. Szymon agrees against his better judgement.

During surveillance of a suspect, Joseph and Szymon Skubisz share words regarding their unlikely partnership. Joseph is angry that he has to work with Szymon and Szymon is angry at the homophobic comments that Joseph constantly makes. While arguing, the two watch as Gage Matthews enters the suspect's home.

Jacob Talbot calls Szymon Skubisz because he is worried that something might happen if it is discovered that Jacob gave information to the police in a criminal investigation against local mobster Vincenzo D'Agostino.

Jacobs calls his friend Sebastiano D'Agostino and arranges a meeting at Sebby's nightclub Xstatic.

2x06: "Free"

The group decides to go to Xstatic, a gay nightclub to celebrate Cayden's new job and Elijah not getting fired. Cayden is surprised when his mother decides to join them as both Cayden and Szymon's date.

When Cayden and Szymon arrive at the club, they meet a tall Black drag queen named La Diva Jackson, who seems to know Szymon. Szymon admits that he's known the man since they were children. Cayden expressed shock at seeing a real live drag queen in person for the first time.

A saddened Victoria admits to the crowd that she just received divorce papers from Patrick King and finds it difficult to admit that her twenty-year marriage has come to an end. Cayden and the others remind her that she is now free to do whatever she wants and they toast to Victoria's future.

Szymon finds a moment to slip away to talk to his old friend Sebastiano D'Agostino. When he visits Sebby's office, he finds Arianna Nakamura, his ex-partner's sister, who expresses concern that she hasn't been able to see Sammy as often as she'd like. After she leaves, Szymon sits down to talk to Sebby and urge him to give him information on Vincenzo D'Agostino, Sebby's brother and a local mob boss.

At first Sebby is reluctant, but Szymon manages to convince him. Sebby explains that Vinny is putting pressure on a local lawyer by the name of Talbot. He admits that Vinny also have several police officers and politicians on his payroll. Finally, Sebby tells Szymon that Vinny's enforcer was last seen entering a building on 415 West 10th and has not been seen again. Szymon is shocked when he realizes that he lives in that building.

When Szymon arrives at the scene of a brutal beating in the nightclub, Steven says that Vasilios hatzis, a male stripper, sexually assaulted him, but Ryan finally finds the strength to stand up to him and she tells Szymon that Steven beat Vasilios without provocation. An angry Steven denies the claim. Devon tells Steven that she hopes he rots in jail for what he did and Steven accuses her of murder. When Cayden and Elijah arrive, Steven points to the three of them and tells everyone that he saw them carrying a body in a rug to the incinerator of their building.

2x07: "It's Too Late"

After returning home from the nightclub, Szymon questions Cayden, Devon and Elijah about Steven's claim. The three of them remain quiet and choose not to offer any information. When Joseph Lester arrives, he informs Szymon that they are ready to search the incinerator.

Ryan asks Szymon what she should do now that Steven has been arrested, and he advises her to go to the station in the morning and provide a statement.

When Liliana takes a walk, she places a call to someone in which she demands that something be done about Jesse. After hanging up, she gets on the elevator where she has a strange encounter with Szymon Skubisz. She appears to be frightened by him and says some awkward things before fleeing from he elevator. Joseph teases Szymon about Liliana's reaction to him.

When Szymon and Joseph arrive at Devon's he informs them that they only found a bloody rug in the elevator. To save time, Gage tells them that Luis accidentally fell and cut his head and bled on the rug, which is why they threw it away. He tells them that Luis was fine and left the apartment the morning after. He gives them Luis' number and Joseph calls it to see if he can get ahold of Luis.

When Jesse finds Szymon in the hallway, he is surprised when Szymon gives him an envelope that contains all of the information that he was able to find about Ryan Clarke.

When Szymon knocks on Devon's door once again, he informs the woman that he has a search warrant for her apartment. Devon reluctantly allows the officer to search her apartment, but when the group decides to go to Cayden's apartment, they are shocked to discover that Szymon also has a search warrant for that apartment and he shuts the door on Cayden's face, leaving him standing in the hallway in shock.

2x08: "Last Night"

Before he can begin to search the apartment he shares with Cayden for evidence in Luis Alvarez's murder investigation, Joseph Lester informs Szymon that he has a conflict of interest and must leave the apartment. After some arguing, Szymon realizes that by being close to Cayden, he has placed himself in a situation where he can not investigate the murder. He chooses to leave.

When Szymon Skubisz overhears the conversation in the stairwell in which Luis' murder is discussed, everyone is afraid of what he might do, but after letting everyone know exactly what he thinks of them and their lies, Szymon informs them that he loves Cayden and that is the only reason why he won't say anything.

Szymon leaves the apartment building and makes his way to Andrea Darling and Cecilia Nakamura's home where he confides in Cecilia the morning after and spends some time with his son Sammy, who is always happy to see his father.

2x09: "Together"

Szymon and Joseph Lester find themselves in the chief of police's office. When Connor O'Shay tries to get to the bottom of things, he learns that Szymon's apartment was the scene of a missing person's investigation. When Szymon and Joseph assure him that nothing happened in Szymon's apartment, Connor turns to Devon James and asks them to investigate her a little further.

Later, as Szymon and Joseph try to decide where they'd like to have lunch, Szymon tries to assist Joseph when he drops something. He kneels down to pick it up just as Officer Patrick O'Leary watches. He shouts profanities at the two and Joseph begins to freak out that everyone now thinks he's gay. When he spots Sarah Mulberry and Ryan James, he invites them to lunch and the four go to a diner where they run into Devon and Gage who were there waiting for Cayden and Elijah. They invite themselve to Devon's table. Soon other start to arrive.

When Cayden arrives and sees Szymon, he is silent, but when Szymon gets up and grabs him and kisses him, Cayden knows that all is forgiven and that his relationship with Szymon isn't over.

When Devon announces that she and Gage are having a baby boy and naming him Taylor, after Julia Taylor, everyone drinks to a toast. They marvel at how they've managed to stay together despite all of the obstacles they've faced and they welcome anyone to try and break their little family apart.

2x10: "Strangers"

Joseph calls Szymon to meet him down by the river where a body is found. Joseph is not pleased when the wallet recovered from the victim identifies him as David Brooks, Jacob Talbot's assistant who has been missing for three months.

When Eve Myers learns that a body has been found by the river, she rushes to be the first to get the story. While she is there, she runs into her cousin, Detective Szymon Skubisz and tries to use family ties to gain information for her story.

When Szymon returns home, he finds a man terrorizing Cayden and doesn't know that it is Cayden's father. He pulls Patrick away from his boyfriend. Angered and scared that Cayden was hurt, Szymon pulls his gun on Patrick and asks for an explanation.

When Victoria returns home, she finds that her ex-husband Patrick King has come to New York and is laying a guilt trip on their son. At first she is stoic, but her anger causes her to slap Patrick and demand and explanation.

As they are talking, Cayden refuses to listen to his father and asks him to leave. When Cayden opens the door, Izik Morin is standing there. What he says next surprises everyone. Izik calls Patrick King his father.

2x11: "Family Portrait"

Izik Morin explains his connection to Patrick King. While in Albany on business, Patrick had an affair with Izik’s mother Kimberly. When she became pregnant, Patrick would visit monthly. His visits became fewer and farther between and stopped when Izik was seven. Victoria finds it difficult to have living, breathing proof of Patrick’s infidelity right in front of her, despite the fact that she feels connected to Izik. Cayden is beside himself with disbelief. Szymon gets a phone call and has to rush our of the apartment.

When Szymon arrives at the emergency room, Cecilia is waiting for him. She tells him that they don’t know what is wrong. Sammy’s been having a fever and night sweats. He’s been complaining about headaches and hasn’t been eating very much. Andrea is sitting with the boy and tells Szymon that the doctor is calling a consult. Sammy has been sick for weeks. Szymon is angry that he had to find out when his son looks close to death’s door. After realizing that getting mad at Andrea will not make his son well, Szymon apologizes.

2x12: "Wait"

Cayden arrives at the hospital to find Szymon white-faced and silent. He tries to understand what is going on, but Szymon says very little. He finds Andrea and Cecilia and they inform him that the doctors told them that Sammy has leukemia. Cayden is shocked and asks what happens now. Andrea and Cecilia vow to be strong and urge Cayden to be watchful of Szymon. Cayden finds Szymon exactly where he left him. Szymon admits that he fells like this is his fault. He had leukemia as a child and he may have handed his son a death sentence.

Szymon listens as the doctor goes over treatment options with him, Andrea, Cecilia and Cayden. He explains that nearly 80% of children diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia are leukemia-free for a long time afterward. She begins to go over treatment options, but Szymon has heard enough. He leaves the room. Cayden follows. Szymon takes out his phone and dials a number. He waits silently until he hears an answer at the other end. It is at that moment that Szymon Skubisz breaks down and starts to cry as he says, “Mom.”

2x13: "No One"

At David Brooks' funeral, Szymon breaks down because he is fearful of losing his son. Cayden can't find the right words to help Szymon and Victoria tells him that all he can do is be there for Szymon when he needs him.

Jacob tells Szymon that he needs to pull himself together for Sammy's sake. He needs to be strong for Sammy right now.

At the hospital, Szymon, Andrea and Cecilia listen to Dr. Flores' advice that they should have Sammy undergo chemotherapy. Andrea is scared by this news and lashes out at Szymon, blaming him for giving their son leukemia and Cecilia because she always takes his side in an argument. Szymon tells Dr. Flores to go through with the treatment and tells Cecilia that she needs to get Andrea to get it together for Sammy's sake.

At the hospital, Cayden finds Szymon in the chapel and listens to him share his fears about Sammy. Andrea and Cecilia arrive and Andrea and Szymon forgive one another. The four of them light candles and say pray to God for Sammy's sake.

2x14: "Forget You"

When Sammy's treatments begin to fail, Dr. Flores informs them that there is still one last option, a stem cell transplant. She will start with Sammy's parents, then broaden the search if they are not matches. When Szymon discovers that he is not a match for Sammy's bone marrow, he realizes that because he was adopted, there is no one else to test on his side and starts to think that his son is running out of time. He also rejects any help from Tom Waterman, whom he sees as useless. He admits his resentment of Dr. Flores only because the fact that she is in his life is because his son has cancer.

2x15: "Liar"

Szymon is annoyed when his private time with Cayden is interrupted by Drake Talbot, seeking a shoulder to cry on. Szymon jealously lashes out at Cayden when he begins to show more concern for Drake Talbot's feelings than his own. Szymon lashes out at Cayden when the pressure of Sammy's illness gets to be too much. Szymon apologizes and Cayden accepts the apology, provided that it doesn't happen again.

2x16: "Strange Bedfellows"

Cayden takes a phone call from an emotional Drake as Szymon grows even more resentful. As their argument escalates, Cayden and Szymon find themselves trading verbal barbs, but when Szymon becomes so angry that he nearly physically attacks Cayden, he stops himself and retreats into the bedroom, ashamed.

2x17: "Give Me One Reason"

Szymon Skubisz sits in the waiting room at the hospital as everyone gets tested to see if they are a match for Sammy’s bone marrow. Ricky Andrews tries to make conversation with him and Szymon asks him how he can still smile when he is surrounded by so much death. Ricky tells him that he chooses to be happy. Joseph Lester admits to Szymon that he actually admires him and will be sorry when Cecilia comes back on full time. He tells Szymon that he is being reassigned to another partner. Joseph and Szymon discuss the nature of evil and whether it runs in the blood. However, when Jesse shows up, Szymon flips out because he doesn’t want Jesse’s blood or bone marrow anywhere near his son. Szymon then begins to take his frustrations out on Cayden when he defends Jesse for showing up to do the right thing.

At the hospital, Cayden approaches Szymon to talk about things, but don’t seem to make much headway. Szymon accused him of spending all of this time and attention on other people. Cayden tells him that he doesn’t want to be around him when he acts like this, but they are interrupted when Jesse arrives and announces that he is a match Sammy’s bone marrow. Cecilia and Andrea arrive. A distraught Szymon tells him that he doesn’t want Jesse’s tainted blood in his son. Jesse says that he always knew Szymon was a hypocrite and that he is willing to let his son die. Szymon says he doesn’t want Jesse’s blood in his son’s body. Liliana tells him that it is too late for that, Jesse is his nephew and she is Szymon’s mother. They have the same blood running through their veins.

Liliana explains to Szymon and Jesse that she gave Szymon up for adoption. He was conceived under duress. She chose not to keep the child. Szymon is horrified and rejects the idea. He calls for a blood test. Liliana tells him that a boy’s life could be hanging in the balance and he will regret it if his stubbornness costs Sammy his life. Szymon expresses his shock at being informed that he is a child of rape. Jesse admits that he is also a child of rape. Szymon is upset that everyone in his life seems to reject him and leave him alone, but Jesse assures him that he won’t be left alone if Szymon agrees to allow him to save Sammy’s life. He will not lose his son.

Szymon Skubisz waits in the hospital chapel as Tom Waterman arrives. The shrink is surprised that Szymon called him. Szymon admits that his concerns about Jesse and the transplant are irrational, but he is still afraid of what Sammy will inherit from his messed up lineage. Tom asks him if it is worth it to gamble and pass on this opportunity. Afterwards, Tom leaves and Andrea pleads with Szymon to let Jesse save Sammy’s life. He agrees.

Szymon decides to try and make it up to Cayden by bringing him flowers, but when he shows up at the hospital, Cayden is having a private conversation with Drake Talbot and Drake is holding Cayden’s hand. Szymon flees and tells Joseph Lester that Cayden is cheating on him and Joseph urges Szymon to talk to Cayden. Meanwhile, Drake is admitting his feelings to Cayden and Cayden tells him that they can only be friends. He wants to make things work with Szymon. Drake understands and leaves and Sarah steps off of the elevator. Cayden admits to her that he wants to stay with Szymon, but can see how he could easily go with Drake because Szymon is so nasty to him lately. Szymon overhears this and misinterprets what Cayden says and accuses him of cheating and asks him to leave the hospital and Sarah is there to take Cayden away.

Szymon returns home to find that Cayden is not there. Joseph, who has accompanied Szymon, offers to stay with him for a little while and they have a beer together. Szymon realizes that with him and Cayden breaking up that he will have to find another place to live and Joseph offers his apartment. When Szymon asks Joseph why he would do that, Joseph begins to kiss Szymon. Meanwhile, Cayden admits to Sarah that he is going to focus on Szymon and stop worrying about everyone else’s problems, but everything changes when Cayden and Sarah walk in on Szymon and Joseph having sex. Cayden asks Szymon to move out.

2x18: "Take A Bow"

Sarah has a few choice words for Joseph’s fellow police officers to hear at the precinct. Joseph’s new partner Patrick O’Leary is both stunned and disgusted. A shamed Joseph tells her that she is better than this and storms off. Cecilia Nakamura takes the obviously drunk Sarah to get a cup of coffee while Szymon tries to repair what is left between him and Joseph, but Joseph wants no part of it and punches Szymon in the face when he touches him in public.

Cayden and Drake are about to make love again when there is a knock at the door. Cayden answers to find Szymon Skubisz looking sad. He asks him if Sammy is okay and Szymon informs him that the transplant worked, but he is sad because of what he did to Cayden and wants to make it up to him. He wants to get back together. When Szymon sees a half-naked Drake in Cayden’s living room, he realizes what is going on and he leaves.

2x19: "Soul Deceiver"

Szymon picks up a random stranger and takes him back to his hotel room. He doesn't ask the man's name because he doesn't care, he looks like Cayden and that is all Szymon wants right now. Szymon is rough and impersonal. He doesn't care about the man he is with. Meanwhile, Cayden and Drake make love and it is tender and sweet. They caress one another and care for one another.

Szymon kicks the stranger out of his hotel room. The guy tells him that one of these days, he will pay for how he treats people. He never even gets the guy's name. Meanwhile, Cayden and Drake lay on the rooftop together. Cayden says that he wishes that they could stay there forever and forget about the world. Drake agrees.

Szymon listens as Joseph Lester is verbally berated by the other officers. Once they are gone, Szymon sits down and talks to Joseph and apologizes to him for taking advantage of him. Joseph tells him that he was the one who took advantage of the situation and that Szymon has nothing to apologize for. Szymon asks him how he is doing and Joseph responds that some days are better than others, but he realized that despite how everyone treats him, it feels good to be himself for the first time in his life.

2x20: "Crazy"

Sarah has decided that she is going to try and get close to Ryan and goes to Xstatic to see if she is there. She realizes, too late, that she is in the wrong place at the wrong time and, while hiding, calls her grandmother for help. Meanwhile, Szymon seemingly walks right into a trap, but all isn't as it seems as Cecilia emerges and gets the upper hand on Gino, leaving Vinny wide open, but when Anthony reveals that he has Sarah, Szymon and Cecilia have to surrender.

Vinny is annoyed with Sarah Mulberry's crying and orders Anthony to kill her, but Mrs. Mulberry shows up and stops him. He realizes that Sarah is her granddaughter. He tells her that it's too bad that the both of them had to see this, but he can't have any witnesses, he has to kill Sarah and he has to kill her. Mrs. Mulberry tries to appeal to his humanity and reminds him about the boy he used to be, the one she used to babysit. He tells her that that boy disappeared a long time ago and as he gives the order to execute everyone, Mrs. Mulberry blurts out that Sarah is his daughter.

Vinny is angry with Mrs. Mulberry for lying to him about Sarah for all of these years. He tells her that he should kill her for lying to him. Sarah pleads with him not to do it. Vinny starts to talk to everyone about loyalty and then suddenly shoots Anthony Guzzetti in the head, labeling him as the traitor. In the resulting chaos, Sebby pulls out a gun and kills Vinny. He then turns his gun on Szymon and asks him to join him. He will take over his brother's business. He tells him that Gino was the real mole and that together, they can rule this town. Sebby is shocked when Gino reveals that he is an undercover cop and places Sebby under arrest.
